Just to get this out of the way, I've been working on a vexel. It's a pretty big picture so it'll probably take me a long time to finish it. Actually, I could finish it in a couple hours, but I hardly like spending that much time doing vexels now. Don't worry, though. I'll finish it someday.

Anyways, I was wondering if you guys use blogs. Facebook and Twitter have become huge things now and what I hate about them is that I don't find them as fun as blogs. Like if it was Facebook vs. Xanga, I would use Xanga all the way, but unfortunately, hardly anyone uses it nowadays (and plus I already deleted my old one... - -;;) It seems like I like big chunky paragraphs about peoples' lives rather than one-liners. Haha.

So, if you don't mind commenting on if you have a blog and on what site, that would be great.
I've been wanting to make one on wordpress, but I would like to know which one people use more.

Also, how many of you actually read the journals of the people you watch?
I was just wondering. I don't watch many people, so I pretty much read and look through every one of their updates.
I've noticed that I have a few watchers, but only a few of them read my journals. It's not like I expect you to read them, I'm just saying.

edit:
And another thing (haha, sorry!)
Did I establish myself as strictly a "vexel artist?"
I feel like I'm pretty versatile, but since I mostly put vexels up on dA, no one really looks at other things I post (which is why I hardly ever post them). Would you look at other stuff? Haha. I feel so sad (not the teary type of sad, but the type of sad that comes when you ask people too many questions and you look insecure so you laugh about it awkwardly and look down at the floor).

Taking a Break

I've decided I'm taking a break from deviantArt in terms of submitting new deviations. I've been losing interest lately in making vexels and have been giving up on them more easily than before. I'm sure I might pick it up again when I go on summer break (which starts on the 2nd week of May) depending on how quickly I can get work, then I just won't have time. So, please don't expect too much from me from now on when it comes to vexels.

PS: I've been getting a lot of notes about commissions, so I will say here that I do NOT do commissions whatsoever. One, because of my lack of interest, and two, I really need to concentrate in school since I haven't done so well last semester.

Winter Break!

YAY! A whole month off from school!

I'm hoping this break will go well, meaning I hope my parents don't ever find out my grades for this term. If they did, they'll probably kill me... haha. I don't want that. Painful.

Anyways, other than work, college has been awesome. Probably a little more than it should be so I'm definitely going to concentrate more on work next semester. No wonder people say freshman year is the hardest. All they want to do is go out and play. I need to study!

So, this break is going to be awesome because now I have time to do crafts and other craft-like things! At school, I didn't bring anything art-related (except for this $80 kit I had to buy for my art class 1st term ^^) and I really missed doing them... So I basically made a huge list of things to do. I'm glad I can do most of them after installing Photoshop and Illustrator CS3. ^^

Oh! and also! My friends from school and I are trying to start a band! (I don't know exactly how seriously we are taking this, but this sounds like a fun, intense group project type thing.. hee hee.) Two of them play guitar, one plays drums, and I'm going to be playing keyboard/piano/synth/bass?! We haven't found a bassist yet, but you can still do bass on piano. :D

1. New vexel / I have not done one in forever and I apologize. Again, it's school... Ugh.
2. Paint Shoes / I really want to paint on some canvas shoes, but the ones similar to Converses and not Vans. I have acrylic paints already, I just need the actual shoes and a sealant. So excited!
3. Write 3 songs / This is the most difficult. I already wrote the melody of a whole song already. I'm not really a good lyricist. It always ends up sounding so emo. If you guys have any ideas for a song that's not emo-related, I will try to write one!
4. Kanzashi / I miss making kanzashi flowers. Let's make pretty hair clips for me to wear at college! XD
5. T-Shirt Designs / My uncle is trying to expand my other uncle's stitching company, so he got a printing machine (you know? for t-shirts and stuff) and he's planning on using that so other people can put their designs on shirts. I proposed that I could help make designs and stuff so they can sell shirts themselves. I just need to come up with designs.

P.S. - I just realized today is the 21st... Meaning only 4 more days till Christmas... That's really close. :D Happy Christmas everyone!

P.P.S. - I'm turning 18 on the 30th! I'm such a youngin'. All my friends at college are turning 19... haha.
